The Garrotxa volcanic area is part of the volcanic landscape on the Iberian Peninsula. The increase in tourism has led to the need to increase the management services of the natural park, which are currently separated between two locations.

The exercise projects the Natural Park Management Center within the Parc Nou in Olot to act as a hinge between the city, the urban park, and the natural park. Where discretion, dialogue, and togetherness are sought. This is how a new object is proposed. Located in place of Mas Trut, an abandoned farmhouse for residential use. To interact with its immediate surroundings and with the natural landscape of the site, seeking to bring together the people who work at the two headquarters. In addition, the adaptive reuse of the Castanys Tower, the building where the current management center operates, is proposed.

The project appears as an intermediate space, translated into its design, where it seeks to generate tensions with the pre-existence and the landscape.
